Chinese Watercolor Technique
In this 90 minute workshop, you’ll learn the foundations of traditional Chinese painting techniques. I’ll teach you the differences between Western and Eastern watercolor brushes, papers, and paints; and how to hold the brush, paint on xuan paper, and how to ‘load’ brushes with one color, two colors and even three colors.
This is a great workshop for artists expanding their technical repertoire as well as those interested in brush painting techniques used in Chinese, Japanese and Korean traditional brush paintings. Participants will have time to explore using their newly learned techniques to create a painting on their own. Painting experience is not required but could be beneficial.
